Is the SecureContact AW worth it over an all-season tire?

Yes if you see regular snow and want one set of tires all year. The 3PMSF rating and 60,000-mile warranty make it a practical pick for crossovers and SUVs. A pure all-season is cheaper but weaker in snow.

How does it compare with a dedicated winter tire?

It handles moderate-to-severe snow and stays legal year-round, so you skip seasonal swaps. In deep snow and on ice, a dedicated winter tire still stops and steers better.

What does the 106H marking mean?

106 is the load index, 2,094 lbs per tire, and H is the speed rating, up to 130 mph. That covers most family SUVs at normal pressures.

The best new price was $218.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026. Tire prices move with rebates and seasonal promotions, so compare across the three stores listing it before buying.
