Our take on the Coop Sleep Goods Essence Adjustable Pillow 2-Pack

The Coop Sleep Goods Essence Adjustable Pillow is a down-alternative pillow filled with a proprietary blended polyester that you can add or remove through a zipper to set your own loft. This 2-pack includes an extra bag of fill and comes in Queen and King sizes, with a brushed microfiber cover that is machine washable. The shredded fill suits back, side and stomach sleepers who want to tune height rather than accept a fixed pillow. It is a mid-priced adjustable pillow; the 2-pack brings the per-pillow cost down compared with buying singles.

Questions and answers

Is the Coop Essence pillow worth it?
It is worth it if you want an adjustable pillow and are willing to spend a few nights tuning the fill. If you want a fixed pillow with no maintenance, a standard down-alternative pillow is simpler.
How does it compare with the original Coop Home Goods pillow?
Both are shredded-fill adjustable pillows with washable covers. The Essence line uses a brushed microfiber cover and a blended polyester fill, and this listing is a 2-pack with extra fill included.
Can I make it firmer?
Yes. Open the zipper and add fill from the included bag to raise the loft and firmness, then remove fill if it feels too high.
What sizes are available?
Queen and King. The Queen measures about 17 by 27 inches and the King is larger; check the listing for exact King dimensions.
Is it machine washable?
Yes. Wash cold with the zipper closed, and dry thoroughly before use.
When is it cheapest?
Adjustable pillow 2-packs tend to drop during major sales events and around back-to-school season. Compare the per-pillow price against single-pillow listings before buying.
