Best forHomes with mostly hard floors and low-pile rugsPet owners dealing with hair and danderBuyers who want bagless emptying and no filter bags to rebuyLarge rooms where a corded motor beats a battery vacuum
Pros
  • Strong 1700W motor and up to 45 kPa suction for the price class
  • 3.3L dust cup means fewer empties than most stick vacuums
  • Bagless design avoids ongoing bag costs
  • Corded power holds steady, unlike battery vacuums that fade
  • Marked for pet hair use
Cons
  • 11 lb canister plus hose is heavier to drag than a stick
  • Cord and canister limit reach compared with cordless
  • 45 kPa is a peak figure; real suction drops as the cup and filter load up
  • Bagless cups need frequent rinsing of filters to keep suction
  • No battery, so it is tethered to outlets

Questions and answers

Is 45 kPa suction enough for carpets?
It is fine for low-pile rugs and hard floors. On thick or deep-pile carpet, expect several passes and slower movement rather than one-pass deep cleaning.
How often do I empty the 3.3L dust cup?
Roughly every few cleans in an average home, more often with heavy pet hair. Empty before it fills to the max line, because a full cup cuts suction.
Does it work well for pet hair?
It is marketed for pets and the strong suction helps on floors and furniture. Hair still wraps around the brush roll, so plan to cut it off regularly.
Is it heavy to carry up stairs?
At about 11 lb the canister is manageable but not light. It is easier to carry by the handle and use floor by floor than to haul around constantly.
What comes in the box?
Typically the canister, hose, wand, a floor nozzle and a crevice or brush tool. Confirm the exact attachments in the listing before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Corded canister vacuums usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history chart to see whether the current price is near its low.
