Our take on the Cortesi Home Savion Convertible Accent Chair Bed

The Cortesi Home Savion is a fabric accent chair that folds flat into a 78-inch sleeper, aimed at small rooms that need occasional guest space. It has a 34-inch wide, 26-inch deep seat with 16-inch seat height and foam fill, and it weighs 58 lb, so it is movable but not light. It does not recline, rock, swivel or glide. No current price was provided for this page, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Best forStudio and small-apartment owners who need an occasional guest bedGuest rooms and home offices that double as sleeping spaceShoppers who want a fabric accent chair under $500Buyers who prefer a simple fold-out over a bulky sofa bed
Pros
  • Converts from chair to a 78-inch flat bed
  • Compact 34-inch width fits tight rooms
  • Foam fill and fabric upholstery at an accent-chair price
  • Neutral taupe fabric suits most decor
  • Metal legs add stability for its 58 lb frame
Cons
  • No recline, rock, swivel or gliding
  • 58 lb makes it awkward to move alone
  • Seat height of 16 inches is low for taller users
  • Foam-only fill may soften with heavy daily use
  • Folding mechanism is basic, not a true sofa-bed frame

Questions and answers

Is the Savion worth it?
If you need an occasional guest bed in a small room and want to spend accent-chair money, it is a reasonable pick. Do not expect sofa-bed comfort for nightly sleeping.
How big is the bed when unfolded?
It measures 78 inches long in bed mode. The chair itself is 34 inches wide, 36 inches deep and 31 inches high.
Does it recline or rock?
No. It has no recline, rocking, gliding, swivel or lift functions. It only converts between chair and flat bed.
Is it comfortable for everyday sitting?
The foam fill and 26-inch seat depth suit casual sitting, but the 16-inch seat height is low and the cushion is on the firm side. It is better for occasional use.
What is included in the box?
You get the chair frame, foam cushions, metal legs and the hardware needed for assembly. Check the listing for the exact assembly instructions.
When is it cheapest?
Watch the price history around major sales events and end-of-season furniture clearances. Our comparison tracks every store's price so you can see when it drops below its usual range.
