Our take on the Costway 3FT Pre-Lit Fiber Optic Artificial Christmas Tree with Multicolor LED Lights

A 3-foot artificial pine with fiber optic strands that glow in multicolor, so there are no bulbs to hang and no light strings to untangle. It stands on an included base and is built for indoor use only. At 3 feet it suits a tabletop, a small apartment corner or a kids' room rather than a main living-room tree. It is a plug-in tree with no batteries, so it needs an outlet nearby.

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth it for a small space?
Yes, if you want a lit tree without stringing lights and have an outlet nearby. It is a tabletop-size tree, not a substitute for a full 6- or 7-foot tree.
Does it need batteries?
No. It runs on a cord and needs a standard indoor outlet, so plan where the cord will reach.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. It is rated for indoor use only.
How tall is it really?
It is 3 feet tall including the stand, so expect a tree that sits about waist-high on most adults.
What is in the box?
The tree sections and the stand are included. Assembly is required and basic tools are provided.
When is it cheapest?
Prices on pre-lit trees usually drop in late November and again right after Christmas. Check the price history before buying.
