Is the steam-frying mode worth using?

It helps with foods that dry out, like chicken breast or leftovers, by adding moisture during the cook. For frozen fries and nuggets, plain air fry mode gives crispier results.

Is 1000 watts enough?

It works, but it is on the low side for a 4.7-quart fryer. Expect longer cook times and shake or flip food more often than you would with a 1500-watt model.

How much food fits in 4.7 quarts?

Roughly two to three servings: a small whole chicken, about a pound of fries, or a dozen wings in a single layer. Overfilling slows browning.

What comes in the box?

The listing counts five pieces, typically the fryer body, glass basket, crisper plate, steam accessory and manual. Confirm the exact contents with the seller before ordering.

Is $79.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 4, 2026, at Walmart, so there is no recent range to judge against. Comparable glass-basket fryers often sell for $70 to $120.

Does it need to be preheated?

Preheating for about 3 to 5 minutes at the set temperature helps, especially at 1000 watts. Skipping it adds a few minutes to most recipes.
