Our take on the Costway 6 ft Artificial Christmas Spruce Hinged Tree with 892 Mixed PE & PVC Tips

The Costway 6 ft Artificial Christmas Spruce is an unlit hinged tree with 892 mixed PE and PVC tips and a folding metal stand included. The mix of molded PE branch tips and flat PVC needles gives it a fuller, more natural silhouette than all-PVC trees at this size. It is a budget-tier tree, so expect a lighter build than premium brands. It is a solid value for a first tree or a second tree in a spare room.

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth it compared with a pricier 6 ft tree?
Yes if you want a full-looking unlit tree on a budget. Premium trees use more PE tips and heavier metal, which shows up close and over many seasons. This one is best for a starter or secondary tree.
Does it come with lights?
No. It is unlit, so you buy and string your own lights. That lets you pick warm white, multicolor or a smart light set, but budget for lights on top of the tree price.
How long does assembly take?
Most owners finish in 20 to 30 minutes. The sections are hinged, so you fold the branches down, stack the sections and tighten the included stand.
Can I use it outdoors?
No. It is rated for indoor use only. Moisture and sun will fade the needles and rust the stand.
How wide is it, and will it fit my room?
It is 6 ft tall with a traditional spread of roughly 3 to 4 ft at the base. Leave about a foot of clearance on each side for ornaments and a tree skirt.
When is the cheapest time to buy it?
Artificial trees usually drop in late November and again right after Christmas. Watch the price history for a dip below the typical fall price.
