Our take on the Costway 6ft Pre-Lit Hinged Christmas Tree with Remote Control & 9 Lighting Modes

This is a 6-foot artificial pine with hinged branches, built-in lights and a remote that cycles through 9 lighting modes. The hinged sections and included stand make setup faster than hooking lights branch by branch. It is an indoor tree aimed at buyers who want a lit tree without stringing lights. Shoppers rate it 3.8 out of 5 from 349 ratings, so reception is mixed rather than glowing.

Questions and answers

Is the Costway 6ft pre-lit tree worth it?
It suits shoppers who value fast setup and a remote over a dense, realistic look. At 3.8 out of 5 from 349 ratings, expect a serviceable tree rather than a premium one.
How long does assembly take?
The hinged sections fold down from the center pole, so most people can stand it up and shape the branches in well under an hour. Adult assembly is required and tools are provided.
Does it need batteries?
No. The listing specifies no battery is used, so the lights run from a cord. Plan for an outlet near where the tree stands.
Can I use it outdoors?
No. It is listed for indoor use only.
What is in the box?
The tree sections and the stand are included. The remote comes with the tree; check the box for it before discarding packaging.
When is it cheapest?
Artificial trees usually discount in late November and again right after Christmas. Watch the price history to see whether the current price is near its low.
What do buyers say about the Costway 6ft Pre-Lit Hinged Christmas Tree with Remote Control & 9 Lighting Modes?
Rated 3.8 out of 5 from 349 ratings.
