Our take on the Costway 8 FT Artificial Christmas Tree with 1498 PVC Branch Tips and 880 Warm White LED Lights

The Costway 8 FT Artificial Christmas Tree is a prelit pine-style tree with 1,498 PVC branch tips and 880 warm white LED lights, sold with a metal stand. It is a budget-priced 8-foot tree aimed at large rooms, porches and covered outdoor spaces. Pricing for this size and light count sits at the low end of the 8-foot prelit market, where comparable trees often cost two to three times more.

Pros

  • 880 warm white LEDs are already strung, saving hours of setup
  • Includes a stand, so no separate base purchase
  • Rated for indoor and outdoor use
  • Pine look suits traditional decorating
Cons
  • PVC needles are less realistic than PE-molded branches on premium trees

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth it?
For a budget 8-foot prelit tree, yes. You get height, 880 lights and a stand for far less than premium brands, with the trade-off of less realistic PVC needles.
How does it compare with a 7.5-foot tree?
Eight feet fills rooms with 9-foot ceilings better and reads larger from the street. Check your ceiling height first; 7.5 feet is safer under 8-foot ceilings.
Can it go outside?
It is rated for indoor and outdoor use, but it has no battery power. Place it under cover near an outlet, since the lights and PVC are not built for exposed weather.
How long does assembly take?
Plan on 45 minutes to an hour. The stand and sections go together quickly; most of the time goes into spreading and shaping 1,498 tips.
What is in the box?
The tree sections, the prelit strands attached to the branches, and a metal stand. Tools for assembly are included.
When is it cheapest?
Artificial trees drop sharply in late November and again right after Christmas. Buying in early fall usually means paying closer to full price.
What do buyers say about the Costway 8 FT Artificial Christmas Tree with 1498 PVC Branch Tips and 880 Warm White LED Lights?
Rated 4.1 out of 5 from 9 ratings.
