Our take on the Costway 8 PCS Outdoor Patio Rattan Furniture Set Cushioned Sofa Coffee Table Garden

The Costway 8-piece outdoor rattan set is a full patio seating group: a sofa, two armchairs, two ottomans and a coffee table, all in a gray and black woven rattan finish with loose polyester seat cushions. It is aimed at buyers furnishing a deck or garden in one purchase rather than matching pieces over time. Costway sells this set across several retailers, so the price moves with whichever store has it in stock; check the current listing against recent Costway pricing before buying.

Pros
  • Eight pieces cover seating for four to six plus a table
  • Woven rattan look at a budget-set price
  • Loose cushions can be removed and stored
  • Light enough for most people to rearrange alone
  • Gray and black finish suits most outdoor decor
Cons
  • Polyester cushions are not water-resistant; bring them in during rain
  • Rattan weave and thin frames are built to a budget, not heirloom quality
  • Assembly of eight pieces takes an afternoon
  • Ottomans are low and best used as footrests or extra perches
  • No warranty details beyond the standard Costway coverage

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it compared with buying pieces separately?
For a budget patio setup, yes. A comparable sofa, two chairs and a table bought separately usually costs more than this bundle, though the materials are basic.
Can the cushions stay outside in the rain?
No. The covers are polyester and not waterproof, so bring cushions inside or store them in a deck box when it rains.
How many people does it seat?
The sofa seats two to three and each armchair one, so four to five adults comfortably, with the ottomans as extras.
Does it come assembled?
No. You assemble the frames and attach the cushions yourself; plan on a couple of hours with two people.
When is the price lowest?
Costway patio sets tend to drop in late summer and around major sales events. Compare the current store price with its recent history before buying.
What is in the box?
The sofa, two armchairs, two ottomans, one coffee table and the seat cushions, plus the hardware and instructions.
