Is the Costway electric grill worth it?

It makes sense if you cannot use gas or charcoal where you live and want a small plug-in grill. If you want strong searing or cook for a crowd, a larger gas grill is a better fit.

Can it really be used indoors?

Costway markets it for indoor and outdoor use, but any electric grill produces smoke and grease. Use it under a hood or near ventilation, and follow the manual's clearance instructions.

How big is the cooking area?

The grate measures 200 square inches, roughly enough for four to six burgers or a small batch of vegetables at once.

Does it need assembly?

Yes. Adult assembly is required and tools are included in the box.

Does it come with a cord and plug?

It is a corded electric grill with no battery, so it needs a standard outlet within reach. Check the manual for the cord length before you plan its spot.

When is the price lowest?

Small electric grills like this one tend to drop outside peak grilling season, in late fall and winter. Check the price history chart for the recent low before buying.

Our take on the Costway Indoor Outdoor Electric Grill

The Costway Indoor Outdoor Electric Grill is a small single-burner electric grill with 200 square inches of aluminum cooking surface. It runs on a standard outlet, so it works on an apartment balcony, in a garage or on a countertop where gas and charcoal are not allowed. Assembly is required and tools are included. The 4.4-out-of-5 rating from 38 ratings is a thin sample, so treat it as a rough signal rather than a proven record.
