Our take on the Costway LJG Queen Size Bed Frame with Storage Drawer and Vertical Channel Headboard

The Costway LJG is a queen-size upholstered platform bed with a vertical-channel headboard and one under-bed storage drawer. It is a budget piece aimed at renters and first-apartment setups where a headboard and hidden storage matter more than heirloom construction. The best new price is $139.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no price competition to shop around.

Best forRenters who want a headboard and storage in one buySmall bedrooms that need under-bed drawer spaceShoppers furnishing a guest room on a tight budgetBuyers who want a soft, upholstered look without a box spring
Pros
  • Vertical-channel upholstered headboard gives a padded, finished look
  • One under-bed drawer adds storage without a separate dresser
  • Queen size fits standard mattresses
  • Low price for a bed with a headboard and storage combined
  • Platform-style frame can be used without a box spring
Cons
  • Only one drawer, so storage is limited to one side
  • Single new listing at $139.99 means no price comparison or easy discount hunting
  • Budget upholstery and frame materials are unlikely to hold up like mid-range brands
  • Assembly is required and can take a while
  • Drawer access depends on floor clearance and room layout

Questions and answers

Is the Costway LJG queen bed frame worth it?
At $139.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a headboard and a storage drawer in one. It suits a guest room or rental; expect budget materials rather than long-term durability.
Does it need a box spring?
It is a platform-style bed frame, so a standard queen mattress can sit directly on the slats. A box spring is not required and would raise the mattress height.
How much storage does the drawer hold?
There is one under-bed drawer, so plan on bedding, shoes or off-season clothes rather than a full wardrobe. Check the drawer side against your room layout before buying.
What size mattress fits?
It takes a standard queen mattress, about 60 by 80 inches. Confirm the mattress depth against the headboard height if you use a thick pillow-top.
When is the best time to buy it?
With only one store listing it new at $139.99 as of November 4, 2026, there is little price competition. Watch for Target furniture sales and holiday promotions rather than expecting a lower price elsewhere.
Where is the Costway LJG Queen Size Bed Frame with Storage Drawer and Vertical Channel Headboard cheapest?
At Target, for $139.99, as of our latest check.
