It offers more power on paper (500 watts vs 325) and a digital timer, but KitchenAid has a metal build, more colors and a much larger attachment range. The Cuisinart usually costs far less.

What comes in the box?

A stand mixer of this type typically ships with a stainless steel bowl, flat beater, dough hook and wire whisk. Check the listing for the exact accessories included.

Is $190 a good price?

Best forBakers who want digital speed controlHouseholds mixing dough for two loaves at a timeBuyers who want 500 watts without paying premium-brand pricesAnyone replacing a hand mixer for regular cake and cookie batches

Pros

500 watts handles stiff cookie and bread dough better than weaker 250-300 watt mixers
12 speeds give finer control than the usual 6 to 10
Digital panel with a timer is easier to read than a mechanical dial
5.5-quart bowl is a practical size for family batches
Often priced well below comparable KitchenAid and Breville models

Cons

Digital controls add electronics that can fail where a mechanical switch would not
Heavier and taller than a tilt-head mixer, so it needs counter clearance
Fewer attachments and colors than the big-name brands
Replacement bowls and beaters are harder to find
