Questions and answers

Is this set worth it at $15.99?
Yes, if you want sharp, lightweight knives with guards for about $1.60 per piece. It is a starter set, not a replacement for forged chef's knives.
How does it compare with the Cuisinart Advantage wood-block sets?
Those sets add a block and often more pieces, but cost more. This one gives you the same stamped blades and guards for drawer storage at a lower price.
Will the color coating come off?
Owners report flaking, especially after repeated washing. Hand wash and dry promptly, and avoid abrasive scrubbers, to make the coating last longer.
