Pros
  • 95 L capacity suits multiple cats with fewer full changes
  • Self-cleaning cycle removes daily scooping
  • App control for cycle status and settings
  • Safety protection sensors stop the drum when a cat is inside
  • Large drum reduces litter tracking and mess outside the box
Cons
  • 24.2 lb and bulky, so placement and moving take effort
  • App control adds a setup step and depends on Wi-Fi
  • Automatic boxes still need regular litter top-ups and deep cleans
  • Less established brand than Petkit or Litter-Robot, so parts and support are less proven
  • Higher upfront cost than a standard hooded box

Questions and answers

Is the Cumrige automatic litter box worth it?
For multi-cat homes that want to stop scooping daily, the 95 L drum and app control justify the price. If you have one cat or a tight space, a cheaper manual box does the job.
How many cats can it handle?
Cumrige rates it for multiple cats, and 95 L is generous for two or three. With more cats, expect to empty the waste drawer more often.
Does it work without the app?
The self-cleaning cycle runs on the unit itself, so basic use does not require the app. The app adds cycle control and status checks over Wi-Fi.
How big is it and where should I put it?
It weighs 24.2 lb and the 95 L drum makes it one of the larger boxes, so leave clearance around it. Place it on a hard, level floor near an outlet.
What is in the box?
Expect the litter box unit, a power adapter and setup instructions. Litter and waste liners are typically not included, so buy those separately.
When is it cheapest?
Automatic litter boxes usually dip during Black Friday and Prime Day sales. Check the price history on this page before buying.
