Is the Danby 24 in dishwasher quiet enough for an open kitchen?

At 51 dB it is mid-pack. That is about normal conversation level, so it is fine in an open kitchen but not silent like 44 dB premium models.

How many place settings does it hold?

14 place settings, which is a full family load and one of the larger capacities at this price.

Does it have a heated dry cycle?

No. This model relies on residual heat, so plastic items may come out damp. Crack the door after the cycle to help drying.

What are the wash cycles?

Four programs plus a delayed start. There is no sanitize or heavy-duty option, so baked-on pots need a pre-rinse.

Will it fit a standard 24-inch opening?

Yes. It is a 24-inch built-under, fully integrated unit, so it fits standard US 24-inch dishwasher cutouts.

Our take on the Danby 24 in Front Control Built-in Dishwasher

The Danby 24 in Front Control Built-in Dishwasher is a white, fully integrated under-counter model with room for 14 place settings. It runs at 51 dB and offers four wash programs plus a delayed start. It is a budget-priced option for a standard 24-inch cutout, quieter than many entry-level machines but short on cycle variety and drying extras.
