Questions and answers

Is the Dekco 2K system worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a wide 166° view and 2K detail without wiring. Compare its live price against 1080p rivals before deciding, since the brand is less established than Arlo or Ring.
Does it need a subscription?
No subscription details are listed. Many cameras in this class record to a microSD card and offer cloud storage as an optional add-on, so confirm before buying if you want clip history.
How wide is the view?
The lens covers 166°, which is wider than the roughly 130° on many outdoor cameras. That means fewer cameras to cover a driveway or side yard, but more fisheye distortion at the edges.
Does it work with Alexa and Google?
Yes. It supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can ask a smart display or speaker to show the live feed. Recording and alerts still run through the Dekco app.
Is it battery powered or wired?
It is described as wireless with Wi-Fi, but the power source is not specified. Check whether the kit includes a battery or needs a nearby outlet before you mount it.
When is the price lowest?
Security cameras usually dip during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Track the price history on this page and buy when it falls below the recent average.
