Our take on the Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 Desktop PC

The Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 is a full-size desktop built around Intel's Core Ultra 9 285K, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070, 32 GB of DDR5 and a 1 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Home. It is aimed at people who want strong gaming and creative performance in an upgradeable tower rather than a compact or all-in-one. The best new price is $3,269.00 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 good for gaming?
Yes. The RTX 5070 and Core Ultra 9 285K handle 1440p at high frame rates and 4K with DLSS. The 12 GB of VRAM is the main limit at 4K with maximum textures.
Can I upgrade the RAM and storage later?
Yes. It is a standard tower with DDR5 memory slots and room for additional drives, so you can add RAM or a second SSD yourself. Check Dell's service manual for slot count and supported speeds.
Does it come with a monitor or keyboard?
No. Dell sells this as the tower only, so budget for a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Windows 11 Home is preinstalled.
Is the Core Ultra 9 285K better than the previous generation?
It is faster in multi-core work and adds a dedicated NPU for AI tasks, but single-core gains over 14th-gen chips are modest. For gaming, the GPU matters more than the CPU here.
Is $3,269.00 a good price?
With only one new listing at $3,269.00 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, there is no recent range to judge against. Compare it with similarly specced towers from other brands before buying.
How much power does it draw?
A 285K plus RTX 5070 system typically needs a 750 W or larger power supply and pulls several hundred watts under load. Confirm the included PSU wattage before adding a bigger GPU.
Where is the Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 Desktop PC cheapest?
At Newegg, for $3,269.00, as of our latest check.
