This is DeWalt's 15 amp corded 12-inch sliding compound miter saw with dual bevel, sold as a kit with a folding work stand and mounting brackets. The sliding rails let it crosscut wide boards, and the dual bevel lets you tilt the head left or right without flipping the workpiece. The 15 amp motor and 12-inch blade handle framing lumber and trim. It is a large, heavy saw, so the stand matters if you move between jobs.
Lowest price we've seen: $599.00 on Nov 1 at Home Depot. Tracked across 1 store since Nov 1.
Owners of DeWalt 12-inch sliding miter saws generally rate the cut quality and dual bevel highly, and the included stand is a common reason to buy the kit. Complaints tend to focus on weight and on setup and alignment out of the box.
