Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit with FLEXVOLT 6Ah Batteries and 4-Port Charger

A three-tool DeWalt cordless kit built around the 20V MAX system, paired with FLEXVOLT 6Ah batteries and a four-port charger. The FLEXVOLT packs run at 20V in 20V MAX tools and switch to 60V in 60V MAX tools, so the same batteries cover both lines. The four-port charger refills several packs at once, which suits crews running multiple tools. It is a kit for someone starting or expanding a DeWalt platform, not a single-tool purchase.

Pros
  • FLEXVOLT batteries work in both 20V MAX and 60V MAX tools
  • 6Ah capacity gives longer runtime than standard 2Ah packs
  • Four-port charger keeps multiple batteries ready
  • Three tools cover common drilling, driving and cutting tasks
  • Shares the large DeWalt 20V MAX battery ecosystem
Cons
  • FLEXVOLT 6Ah packs are heavier than compact batteries
  • 60V-capable batteries cost more than plain 20V packs
  • Kit price is high if you only need one tool
  • Bare-tool buyers may pay for batteries they already own

Questions and answers

Do the FLEXVOLT batteries work in regular 20V MAX tools?
Yes. FLEXVOLT packs run at 20V in 20V MAX tools and at 60V in 60V MAX tools, so they fit both lines.
Is this kit worth it over buying tools separately?
It makes sense if you need all three tools and the batteries. If you already own 20V MAX batteries, bare tools usually cost less.
How long do the 6Ah batteries run?
Runtime depends on the tool and task. A 6Ah pack roughly triples the run time of a 2Ah pack in the same tool.
What is included in the box?
The kit lists three tools, FLEXVOLT 6Ah batteries and a four-port charger. Check the tool list for the exact models before buying.
When is the price lowest?
DeWalt kits tend to drop during holiday sales and end-of-season events. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
