Is the 8 Ah PowerPack worth it over a standard 5 Ah battery?

Yes if you run saws, grinders or other high-draw tools; the extra capacity and tabless cells give more runtime and power. For light drilling, a smaller pack is lighter and cheaper.

Does it fit all DeWalt 20V MAX tools?

Yes. It works with every 20V MAX tool and charger, though it is not for 12V MAX tools or tools that require FlexVolt.

What comes in the box?

One 8 Ah battery. No charger is included.

How does it compare with the older 8 Ah DCB208?

The DCB2108 uses tabless cells, which DeWalt rates for more power and longer life than the cylindrical-cell DCB208. Both are 8 Ah and fit the same tools.

Battery prices drop most during Black Friday and spring tool events, often in two-packs. The best new price was $122.00 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026.
