The DeWalt DWE6423 5-inch variable speed random orbit sander is a corded finishing sander with a 3.0 amp motor running 8,000 to 12,000 orbits per minute. Its separate counterweight and rubber over-mold grip cut vibration, and the low-profile body gets your hand closer to the work. The hook-and-loop pad takes standard 5-inch 8-hole discs, and the dust bag locks on one-handed or the port connects to DeWalt DWV010 and DWV012 extractors. It is a mid-priced kit that sits well below premium brushless sanders and above basic single-speed models.

Owners rate it 4.4 out of 5 across 104 ratings, and the pattern in feedback is a reliable, low-vibration sander that punches above its price. Most complaints center on the dust bag and on the cord.
The DeWalt 5" variable speed random orbit sander kit with hook and loop pad has a 3.0 amp motor that delivers between 8,000 to 12,000 OPM. The separate counterweight reduces vibration, while the rubber over-mold grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows you to get closer to your work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection. You can also attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors. Included in the box is the sander, dust bag, and carrying bag.
