Is the DCB2108-2 worth it over the older DCB208?

DeWalt rates the DCB2108 at 50% more power and a longer lifespan than the DCB208, so it is the better pick for high-draw tools. If you mostly run drills and drivers, the extra cost buys runtime you may not need.

Will these batteries fit my existing DeWalt 20V MAX tools and charger?

Yes. They work with all DeWalt 20V MAX tools and chargers, including older ones. The packs are 18V nominal, which is how DeWalt labels its 20V MAX line.

What comes in the box?

Two DCB2108 8.0Ah batteries only. No charger and no tool are included, so you need a 20V MAX charger already.

How long does an 8.0Ah pack take to charge?

It depends on the charger. A standard 20V MAX charger takes well over an hour for 8Ah, while DeWalt's fast chargers cut that down. A two-pack lets you keep working while one charges.

Is $246 a good price for this two-pack?

It is the lowest price seen recently. The range since November 4, 2026 has been $246.00 to $250.00, so $246.00 at Amazon is at the floor, though the spread is only $4.

How heavy are these batteries?

The pair ships at 4.36 lbs, so each pack is roughly 2 lbs. That is fine in saws and blowers but makes compact drills noticeably heavier.
