Is the DeWalt DCK445D1M1 worth it?

If you need a drill, recip saw, circular saw and light at once and already own or plan to own DeWalt 20V MAX batteries, the kit covers all four for $379.92 at The Home Depot as of November 4, 2026. If you mainly drive screws, a kit with an impact driver is a better fit.

Does this kit include an impact driver?

No. The four tools are the DCD771 drill/driver, DCS381 reciprocating saw, DCS393 circular saw and DCL040 work light.

What batteries come in the box?

One 2.0Ah DCB203 pack and one 4.0Ah DCB204 pack, plus a charger. Both fit every tool in the kit and any other DeWalt 20V MAX tool.

Can the circular saw cut a 2x4 at 45 degrees?

Yes. DeWalt rates the 6-1/2 in. DCS393 to cut 2x4s at a 45-degree angle in a single pass with the included carbide blade.

Are these brushless tools?

No. All four tools use brushed motors. DeWalt's brushless XR tools cost more but run longer per charge.

Circular saw handles 2x4 framing cuts without bogging down
Battery sharing across the four tools

Cons

Brushed motors and small batteries compared with brushless kits
