Is the DWE575 good for framing?

Yes. The 15-amp motor and 7-1/4-inch blade handle dimensional lumber and repeated framing cuts. Its light weight helps when cutting overhead or at height.

Does it have an electric brake?

No. The DWE575 does not have an electric brake, so the blade coasts to a stop after you release the trigger. If fast stops matter, look at DeWalt models with a brake.

What blade size does it take?

It uses a 7-1/4-inch blade with a 5/8-inch arbor, the common size for corded circular saws. Replacement blades are easy to find.

Is $169 a good price?

That is the best new price across four stores as of November 7, 2026, at The Home Depot. It sits in the normal range for this saw, so it is a fair buy rather than a deep discount.

Corded or cordless for a circular saw?

This saw is corded, so it runs all day without batteries but needs an outlet or extension cord. Cordless saws cost more and depend on a battery platform.

What comes in the box?

The saw ships with a 7-1/4-inch blade and a blade wrench. Batteries and chargers are not included because it is a corded tool.
