Our take on the Dirt Devil 8V Quick Flip Multi-Surface Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner

The Dirt Devil Quick Flip is a 1.4 lb cordless handheld vacuum with an 8V lithium-ion battery and a built-in crevice tool that flips out from the nozzle. It runs about 10 minutes per charge and has a non-removable battery, so it suits quick pickups rather than full cleans. At $39.96 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its price range, which is where this model usually lands.

Questions and answers

How long does the Dirt Devil Quick Flip run on a charge?
About 10 minutes. The battery is built in, so you recharge the whole vacuum between uses.
Is it good for car interiors?
Yes for crumbs, sand and dust in seats and footwells. The narrow 4-inch nozzle and flip-out crevice tool reach tight spots, but it won't deep-clean carpets.
Does it come with attachments?
The crevice tool is built into the nozzle and flips out, so there is no separate tool to store. Check the box contents for any extra brush.
How does it compare with a Dustbuster-style handheld?
It is lighter and cheaper than most, but its 10-minute runtime and 8V motor are below stronger 12V to 20V handhelds. Pick it for light spot cleaning, not heavy jobs.
Is $39.96 a good price?
That is at the low end of what this model sells for, with three stores listing it new. It is a fair price for a basic handheld.
What do I need to maintain it?
Empty the dirt cup and clean the cartridge filter regularly. A clogged filter cuts suction further on an already modest motor.
Where is the Dirt Devil 8V Quick Flip Multi-Surface Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner cheapest?
At Walmart, for $39.96, as of our latest check.
