Is the Simpli-Stik good for carpet?

Only for low rugs and light surface debris. Its 8.5 air watts are not enough for deep carpet cleaning or pet hair, so use a stronger upright for those.

Does it work as a handheld?

Yes. The handle detaches so you can use the body as a handheld on stairs, car seats and crevices.

Do I need to buy bags or filters?

No bags. It is bagless, and the filter is rinseable and replaceable (F113 type).

How long is the cord?

16 feet. That reaches most small rooms but not a whole floor without changing outlets.

Is $34.99 a good price?

It is the lowest new price across the 6 stores listing it as of November 6, 2026, and near the bottom of its recent range, so it is a fair buy at that price.

Does it have HEPA filtration?

No. It uses a rinseable standard filter, so it is not a good pick if you need HEPA-level dust control.
