Is the Mini 5 Pro worth $1,159?

If you want a 1-inch sensor and 52-minute batteries in a small drone, yes. At $1,159 at Adorama as of November 3, 2026, it is at the top of its recent range, so waiting for a drop is reasonable if you are not in a hurry.

How is it better than the Mini 4 Pro?

How long does the battery really last?

DJI rates the Plus battery at up to 52 minutes and the standard battery at 36 minutes. Expect less in wind, cold or fast forward flight.

Do I need a microSD card?

No, it has 42GB of internal storage, but a card is worth adding for longer trips and easy transfers. The combo includes ND filters but no card.

Does it need registration?

Rules depend on weight and country. Check your local limits before flying, since the Plus battery setup can push it over the sub-250g threshold.
