Is the Osmo Mobile 8 worth it at $41.39?

At $41.39 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is well under typical gimbal pricing. Confirm the listing is the full gimbal with clamp, not a spare part, before buying.

Does it work with Android phones?

Yes. It pairs over Bluetooth 5.3 with iPhone and Android; Apple DockKit tracking is iPhone-only.

The gimbal stabilizes on its own, but gesture control, face detection and subject tracking run through the DJI Mimo app.

How big a phone can it hold?

The magnetic clamp fits most current smartphones, but very large phones in thick cases may need the case removed.

No. It has no environmental resistance rating, so keep it out of rain and away from splashes.

Expect the gimbal, magnetic phone clamp, mini tripod and USB-C cable; check the listing for included accessories.

Our take on the DJI Osmo Mobile 8

The Osmo Mobile 8 is DJI's smartphone gimbal: a three-axis stabilizer with a magnetic phone clamp, gesture control, face detection and Bluetooth 5.3, plus Apple DockKit support for iPhone tracking. It folds into a compact 370 g body with a small status screen and charges over USB-C. It has no camera of its own and no environmental sealing. At $41.39 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits far below what a current DJI gimbal normally costs, so check that listing is the gimbal itself and not an accessory.
