Is the RS 4 Pro worth it over the standard RS 4?

Yes if you shoot heavy cinema rigs or need LiDAR autofocus and DJI Transmission support. For lighter mirrorless setups, the standard RS 4 covers most needs at a lower price.

Does the gimbal include a camera?

No. The RS 4 Pro is a stabilizer only; you supply the mirrorless or cinema camera and lens.

What cameras does it support?

It is designed for mirrorless and cinema cameras within its payload range, mounted on an Arca-Swiss or Manfrotto quick-release plate. Check your body and lens weight against DJI's payload spec before buying.

How does the LiDAR autofocus work?

A LiDAR module measures distance to the subject and drives focus automatically, so you can shoot without a manual focus puller. It works with supported lenses and the DJI Focus Pro system.

The kit includes the gimbal, a quick-release plate, handle, and basic cables. LiDAR, Focus Pro, and Transmission accessories are sold separately.

DJI gimbals typically see discounts during major sales events and when a successor is announced. Track the price history before buying.

Our take on the DJI RS 4 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer

The DJI RS 4 Pro is a professional three-axis gimbal for mirrorless and cinema cameras, built with carbon fiber and rated for heavy payloads. It adds LiDAR autofocus, a 1.8-inch OLED touchscreen, and native support for DJI Focus Pro and DJI Transmission. It is aimed at film and television crews rather than casual shooters.
