Is $60.23 at The Home Depot a good price for this topper?

It is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it as of November 6, 2026. Parachute's down featherbeds usually sell for well over $100, so $60.23 is a strong deal if the listing is the Twin size you need.

Can I wash the Parachute down mattress topper?

No. Parachute specifies dry clean only for this featherbed. Spot clean small marks and air it out regularly instead of machine washing.

Will it fit a twin XL mattress?

No. The Twin is 39 by 75 inches, which matches a standard twin. A twin XL mattress is 80 inches long, so the topper will come up short.

Does the down cause allergies?

It contains duck feather and down, so it is not suitable for people with feather or down allergies. Parachute does not market it as hypoallergenic.

How thick is it really?

Parachute lists a 3-inch gusset, and the Twin measures 4 inches high overall. Expect it to compress under body weight and fluff back up after shaking.

What sizes are available?

Listings show Twin, Full and King. Check the size before ordering, since the price can differ by size.

Our take on the Down Mattress Topper

A featherbed topper that adds about 3 inches of loft to a mattress, built with a dual-chamber design: an 85% down top layer over a 100% feather base, held in place by baffle box stitching and a 233-thread-count cotton sateen shell. It is dry clean only and carries a 30-day limited warranty. The best new price is $60.23 at The Home Depot as of November 6, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

What reviewers say

Owners of Parachute's down featherbed describe it as plush and hotel-like, with the baffle boxes keeping the fill in place better than quilted pads. The most common complaints are the dry-clean-only care and the feather base flattening or clumping over time.
