How much should I apply to a potted citrus tree?

Follow the box rate, typically a few tablespoons per gallon of container size, scratched into the top inch of soil. Water in after applying.

How often do I need to reapply?

It is a quick-release feed lasting about one to four months. Reapply at the start of the growing season and again mid-season.

Is it safe for vegetables and other plants?

It is labeled for citrus, other fruit trees, vines and ornamentals. It can feed other garden plants, but match the rate to the plant size.

Pros

Organic, all-natural formulation with kelp, alfalfa and feather meal
6-3-3 NPK suits citrus and fruiting trees
Includes calcium, iron and zinc plus humic acids
Granular form is easy to broadcast and work into soil
5 lb box covers a small home orchard or several containers

Cons

Quick release means it feeds for only one to four months, so repeat applications are needed
High nitrogen can push leaf growth over fruit if overapplied
Granular meal can be dusty to handle
Not a complete citrus micronutrient program on its own
