Our take on the Dune Awakening PlayStation 5

Dune: Awakening is Funcom's open-world survival RPG set on Arrakis, built around crafting, base building and sandworm-avoiding travel across the desert. On PS5 it runs as a single-player experience. It holds 3.7 out of 5 from 28 ratings. The best new price is $39.99 at Target as of November 7, 2026, well above the $21.27 to $21.50 daily low seen in early November 2026, so the current price is roughly double its recent floor.

Questions and answers

Is Dune: Awakening on PS5 single-player only?
The PS5 version is listed with a single-player mode. It is a survival RPG, so expect crafting, base building and exploration rather than a short campaign.
Is $39.99 a good price for Dune: Awakening on PS5?
It is the best new price across three stores as of November 7, 2026, but it is well above the $21.27 to $21.50 daily low from early November 2026. Waiting for a drop closer to $25 looks worthwhile.
What do players criticise about the game?
Common complaints are the survival grind, slow early pacing and bugs or performance issues on console.
Do I need to know Dune to enjoy it?
No. The game stands on its own as a survival RPG, though fans of the books and films will recognise the setting and factions.
Is it better than other survival games on PS5?
Its draw is the Dune setting and deep base building. If you want a polished, fast-paced survival game, its 3.7 rating suggests it may not match the genre's best.
Where is the Dune Awakening PlayStation 5 cheapest?
At Target, for $39.99, as of our latest check.
Is the Dune Awakening PlayStation 5 at its lowest price?
The lowest price we've seen is $21.27 at instant-gaming.com on November 3, against $39.99 now.
