Is $1,699 a good price for this generator?

Yes. It matches the lowest price seen since November 2, 2026, and sits well under the $2,481 high from the day before. Three stores list it new, so compare their totals before buying.

How much can it actually run?

9,000 watts continuous on gasoline covers a typical home's essentials: furnace, fridge, lights, well pump and a few outlets. On propane, expect less than the gasoline rating, so check the propane wattage before sizing a transfer switch.

How long does it run on a tank?

About 9 hours at 50% load on the 7.1-gallon gas tank. At full load it burns about 1.57 gallons per hour, so plan on refueling every few hours under heavy draw.

Is it quiet enough for a neighborhood?

It is rated 61 dB at 25% load, quiet for an 11,000W unit, but it gets louder as load rises. Place it away from windows and doors and follow the CO sensor guidance.

What comes in the box?

The generator, a wheel kit, a handle, a battery for electric start, and a tool kit are typical for this model. A propane hose and regulator are usually included for dual-fuel use; confirm with the store before ordering.

Can I start it from inside the house?

Yes, it has a remote start fob plus electric and push-button start, with recoil as a backup. Keep the unit outdoors and clear of windows, since the CO sensor shuts it down only when carbon monoxide builds up.
