Is the Wen DF475T worth it?

For budget home backup or light job-site power, yes. It gives dual fuel, electric start and CO shutdown for $582 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, well under most comparable dual-fuel units.

How many watts does it make on propane?

Wen rates it lower on propane than on gasoline. Expect roughly 3,400 running watts on propane versus 3,800 on gasoline, so plan your loads around the propane figure if that is your main fuel.

Can it run a house during an outage?

It can carry a few circuits through a transfer switch, such as a furnace, fridge and some lights, using the 240V L14-30R outlet. It will not run central air or a whole house.

Wen rates it at 67 dB at close range, about the level of a loud conversation. That is normal for an open-frame generator but noticeable to neighbors at night.

What comes in the box?

The generator, a wheel kit, a handle, a key fob, a tool kit and a manual. A propane hose and regulator are included for the propane inlet; a battery for electric start is included on this model.

Prices on this class of generator tend to dip around spring storm-season sales and Black Friday. The current $582 at eBay is already near the bottom of its recent range.

Our take on the Wen DF475T Dual-Fuel Portable Generator

The Wen DF475T is a dual-fuel portable generator that runs on gasoline or propane, with 3,800 running watts and 4,750 surge watts on gasoline. It starts with a key-fob electric starter or a pull cord, has a CO Watchdog sensor that shuts the engine down at dangerous carbon monoxide levels, and runs up to 11 hours at half load on its 4-gallon tank. It weighs about 106 lb and rolls on a wheel kit, so it suits a garage or job site more than a car trunk. At $582 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range.
