Is the Emit 20 worth it over the Emit 10?

The Emit 20 uses a larger 180mm woofer in a bigger cabinet, so it plays lower and louder. If your room is small or you use a subwoofer, the Emit 10 is enough; for fuller bass without a sub, the Emit 20 is the better pick.

What amplifier do I need for these speakers?

They are not very sensitive, so a solid 50 to 100 watts per channel integrated amp suits them well. Avoid tiny chip amps if you like to play loud.

Yes for best results. Stands bring the tweeter to ear height and keep the rear port away from the wall. They are not included.

Is the price of $1,049 at Amazon a good one?

As of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against. Check the price history before buying to see whether it has sold lower.

A pair of Emit 20 speakers. Speaker cable, stands and amplifier are sold separately.

Can I use them for home theater?

Yes. They work well as front left and right channels, and Dynaudio makes matching Emit center and surround models.

Our take on the Dynaudio Emit 20 Compact Bookshelf Speaker - Pair (Walnut Wood)

The Dynaudio Emit 20 is a two-way compact bookshelf speaker sold as a pair, built around a 180mm MSP mid/bass driver and a 28mm soft-dome tweeter. It is the larger of Dynaudio's entry-level Emit standmounts, so it plays lower and louder than the Emit 10 while keeping the same Danish-made driver design. The cabinet measures about 37cm tall, 20.5cm wide and 31cm deep, and comes in black, white or walnut. The best new price is $1,049 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.
