Is the Eastland Baldwin actually waterproof?

The listing describes the Baldwin as waterproof, with a leather upper and rubber outsole. That suits wet sidewalks and light rain, but the seams and laces are not rated for standing water.

How does the Baldwin fit?

It comes in normal width only, in US sizes 4 to 15, including half sizes. The slip-on build and leather upper tend to relax with wear, so shoppers between sizes may want the smaller one.

How heavy is the Baldwin?

Eastland lists it at about 16 oz per shoe. That is on the heavy side for a casual loafer, so it is better for all-day standing than for packing light.

What is the heel and platform height?

The heel is 1 inch and the platform is 0.25 inch. That gives a low, stable lift without a dress-shoe feel.

Is $49.97 a good price for the Baldwin?

At $49.97 at Zappos as of November 7, 2026, it is the lowest new price of the two stores that carry it. Leather waterproof loafers often sell for more, so this is a strong price if your size is in stock.
