Our take on the Easyhawk 10' x 14' Metal Outdoor Storage Shed

The Easyhawk 10' x 14' is a galvanized steel and aluminum outdoor storage shed with a sloped metal roof, double doors, and four vents. It covers about 131 square feet and holds roughly 140 cubic feet, so it fits lawn equipment, bikes, and garden tools rather than a car. Assembly is required and the unit weighs 256 lb, so plan on two people and a full day or more. Its 2.4 out of 5 rating from 30 ratings is well below what most metal sheds earn, so read the complaints before buying.

Best forHomeowners storing mowers, bikes and garden toolsBuyers who want a metal shed that won't rot or need paintingLarger yards with room for a 10 x 14 footprintPeople willing to assemble a shed themselves
Pros
  • Galvanized metal panels resist rot, rust and insects better than wood
  • Sloped roof sheds rain and snow without ponding
  • Four vents cut condensation inside
  • Double doors give a 65.8 in wide, 45 in tall opening for bulky items
  • About 131 sq ft of floor space for the price of a metal kit
Cons
  • 2.4 out of 5 from 30 ratings is a weak track record
  • 256 lb of panels and frame means a long, two-person build
  • 45 in door height is low; tall users will duck
  • Thin steel panels can dent and rattle in wind
  • No floor included, so you need a level base or slab

What reviewers say

Ratings are poor at 2.4 out of 5 across 30 ratings. Owners most often fault the build quality and the assembly process rather than the size.

Pros
  • Useful amount of floor space for the money
  • Metal roof holds up to weather better than fabric or plastic sheds
Cons
  • Panels arrive bent or misaligned
  • Instructions are hard to follow and holes don't line up
  • Feels flimsy once assembled
  • Door hardware and latches are weak

Questions and answers

Is the Easyhawk 10' x 14' shed worth it?
Only if you need cheap covered storage and can handle a difficult build. Its 2.4 out of 5 rating from 30 ratings signals real quality complaints, so compare it with resin and steel sheds from better-known brands before committing.
How long does assembly take?
Plan on a full day or more with two people. The kit weighs 256 lb and the panels are large, so build it on a level, solid base and sort the hardware before you start.
Does it include a floor?
No. The shed is a panel and frame kit, so you need a concrete slab, pavers, or a treated wood platform sized to the 10 x 14 footprint.
Will it fit a riding mower?
Yes, through the double doors, which open 65.8 in wide and 45 in tall. Check your mower's height against that 45 in clearance, since the door is the limiting dimension.
Does it need a permit?
Often yes for a structure this size. Check your local rules on shed square footage and setbacks before you build.
When is it cheapest?
Metal shed kits tend to drop in late summer and around clearance events. Watch the price history for a dip below the recent range rather than buying at full price.
