Our take on the Eddie Bauer Bunkhouse Plaid Sherpa Reversible Throw

The Eddie Bauer Bunkhouse is a reversible throw with a plaid fleece face and a sherpa backing, so you get a smooth side and a fluffy side. It is machine washable and packable, which makes it a reasonable couch, camp or car blanket. At $16.99 at Home Depot as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this throw has sold for, well under its usual $30 to $40 range. Five stores carry it new, so it is easy to compare.

Questions and answers

Is $16.99 a good price for the Eddie Bauer Bunkhouse throw?
Yes. It is at the low end of its recent range, which has run roughly $30 to $40 at most stores. Home Depot's $16.99 as of November 5, 2026 is close to the cheapest it gets.
How warm is the Bunkhouse throw?
It is a light to mid-weight throw, good for TV watching or a cool evening on the porch. It is not a heavy winter blanket, so pair it with another layer in a cold room.
Can it go in the washing machine and dryer?
Yes, it is machine washable. Wash cold and tumble dry low to limit pilling and static on the sherpa side.
What size is the throw?
It is a standard throw size, meant for one person on a couch or chair. It is not a full bed blanket.
What's in the box?
Just the throw itself. No bag or storage case is included, though it folds small enough to pack.
How does it compare with a plain fleece throw?
The reversible sherpa side adds warmth and texture that a single-layer fleece throw lacks. The trade-off is more shedding and static.
