Is the Edifier R1700BT worth it at $179.99?

It is a solid powered speaker pair with Bluetooth, dual RCA and a remote, but $179.99 at Econo Jam Records as of November 8, 2026 is the top of its recent range. If you can wait, it has sold for less.

Do I need an amplifier or receiver?

No. The amp is built into the speakers, so you plug them into power and connect a source by Bluetooth or RCA.

Can I connect a turntable?

Only a turntable with a built-in phono preamp or a separate preamp, since the RCA inputs are line level.

Does it have a subwoofer output?

No. There is no sub out, so bass is limited to what the 4-inch drivers produce down to about 60Hz.

What comes in the box?

The pair of speakers, a remote control and the connecting and power cables. Check the listing for the exact cable set.

Prices vary by store and season. Its recent low has been below the current $179.99, so compare the 14 stores before buying.
