Is the EDX 10 Inch King mattress worth it?

At $195.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a king gel foam mattress. It suits guest rooms and tight budgets more than shoppers who need strong edge support or a cool sleep surface.

Does it need a box spring?

No. A 10-inch all-foam mattress works on a slatted platform bed, a flat foundation or an adjustable base. A box spring is optional and mainly adds height.

Will the gel foam keep me cool?

The gel layer and wave-patterned airflow layer are designed to reduce heat buildup, but all-foam mattresses still sleep warmer than hybrids. Hot sleepers should weigh that against the price.

What is the difference between the 10-inch and 12-inch versions?

The 12-inch version adds thickness and a pillowtop-style comfort layer, so it feels plusher and sits higher. The 10-inch model is firmer-feeling and easier to sheet.

Is it fiberglass-free?

Yes. EDX states the mattress is free of glass fibers and CertiPUR-US certified for foam content and emissions.

When is the price lowest?

Foam mattresses like this one usually drop during major holiday sales and mattress events. The current best new price is $195.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026.
