Our take on the Effy Women's Diamond Drop Earrings

These are Effy drop earrings in sterling silver set with diamonds, built in a linear silhouette that hangs below the ear. The silver-and-diamond pairing keeps the price well under comparable white-gold diamond drops. At $617 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, they sit at the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forGifts for mothers or milestone birthdaysShoppers who want diamond drops without white-gold pricingEvening and formal wearAnyone who prefers a long, linear earring over a stud
Pros
  • Linear drop shape reads dressy without being oversized
  • Sterling silver keeps the cost down versus gold settings
  • Diamonds give real sparkle at a sub-$700 price
  • Simple enough to wear with both cocktail and work outfits
  • Marketed as a mother's gift, so it suits gifting occasions
Cons
  • Sterling silver tarnishes and needs regular polishing
  • Only one store prices it new, so there is little price competition
  • Diamond carat weight and clarity are not stated in the listing
  • Drop earrings catch on hair and scarves more than studs

Questions and answers

Is $617 a good price for these earrings?
It is the only new price we track, at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent low or high to judge it against. Compare it with other sterling silver diamond drops before deciding.
Are these real diamonds?
Yes, they are diamonds set in sterling silver. The listing does not state total carat weight or clarity, so ask the store for those figures before buying.
Will the silver tarnish?
Sterling silver tarnishes over time, especially when stored exposed to air. Keep them in a closed pouch and polish with a silver cloth.
Are they heavy enough to stretch the earlobe?
Drop earrings in silver with small diamonds are usually light, but the listing gives no weight. Check the backing type, since a secure post or leverback matters more than weight for drops.
Are they a good gift for a mother?
They are marketed as a mother's gift and the classic drop shape suits most ages. Confirm the return policy first, since fine jewelry sizing and taste vary.
What comes in the box?
Effy jewelry typically ships in a branded box with the earrings and backings. The listing does not confirm a pouch or certificate, so ask the store.
Where is the Effy Women's Diamond Drop Earrings cheapest?
At Macy's, for $617.00, 53% off, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Effy Women's Diamond Drop Earrings?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Macy's, Lyst.
