Is the EGO TR4204 worth it over a gas riding mower?

If your lawn is about an acre or less and you want no gas, oil changes or engine noise, it makes sense. For larger properties or all-day mowing, a gas tractor or a bigger battery fleet costs less per acre.

How long does the battery last per charge?

EGO rates it at up to 1.5 acres on a single charge with the six included 56V 6.0Ah batteries. Expect less in tall, wet or thick grass, and more on light, frequent cuts.

Does it bag, mulch and side discharge?

Yes. It mulches and side discharges out of the box, and bagging works with EGO's bagging attachment, which is sold separately.

What comes in the box?

The mower, six 56V 6.0Ah batteries and the charger. Check whether the bagging kit is included, since it is an add-on.

How much space does it need?

It measures about 42 by 42 by 60 inches and weighs 401 lb, so plan for a garage bay or shed with a wide door and a level floor.
