Does it really block dust mites and allergens?

Yes. The waterproof polyester membrane is designed as an allergen barrier and seals with a full zipper, so dust mites and allergens stay inside the encasement.

Can it go in the washer and dryer?

Yes. It is machine washable and tumble dry safe, which makes it easy to refresh between cleanings.

Will it fit a deep mattress?

It comes in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen and King, but check your mattress depth against the listed dimensions before ordering, since a loose or tight fit affects protection.

Is it hot to sleep on?

The polyester waterproof layer can sleep warmer than a cotton cover. Many owners use it under a breathable mattress pad or sheets to reduce that.

Is it safe for children?

It is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances, which makes it a common choice for kids' beds.

When is the best time to buy?

Prices vary by store and size. The lowest new price seen was $16.19 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, so compare sizes before buying.
