Our take on the Endurance 54-in L x 30-in W x 37-in H White Acrylic Rectangular Walk-in Whirlpool Tub and Air Bath LS3054LWD

The Endurance LS3054LWD is a 54-inch walk-in acrylic tub with a low entry door, whirlpool jets and an air bath blower in one unit. It measures 54 in long, 30 in wide and 37 in high, so it fits where a standard alcove tub would not. The white acrylic shell keeps the weight down and is easy to wipe clean. It is a large, plumbing-heavy purchase, so confirm the door swing and drain location before ordering.

Best forBathrooms with limited floor spaceBuyers who want jets and air bubbles in one tubPeople who want a low-step entry instead of climbing over a rimRemodelers replacing a standard alcove tub
Pros
  • Walk-in door removes the high step-over
  • Combines whirlpool jets and an air bath blower
  • Compact 54 x 30 in footprint for a walk-in
  • White acrylic is light and easy to clean
  • 37 in height gives a deeper soak
Cons
  • Needs a dedicated pump and blower, so wiring and plumbing costs add up
  • Door seal and latch are the parts most likely to need service
  • Acrylic scratches and can flex if the floor is not level
  • Not a substitute for a standard tub in a tight alcove without checking the door swing

Questions and answers

Is the Endurance LS3054LWD worth it?
It makes sense if you want a walk-in tub with both whirlpool jets and an air bath and you have room for a 54 x 30 in unit. Budget for the pump, blower and a dedicated circuit on top of the tub price.
How does it differ from a standard walk-in tub?
Most walk-in tubs offer either whirlpool jets or air bubbles. This model has both, plus a compact 54 in length that suits smaller bathrooms.
What are the electrical requirements?
The whirlpool pump and air blower need power, so plan on a dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Confirm the exact voltage and amperage with the seller before the rough-in.
What is the door swing and drain location?
The door opens inward on the long side, and the drain placement should be confirmed against your rough-in before ordering. Measure the clearance in front of the tub for the door swing.
What is included in the box?
The tub ships with the whirlpool and air bath systems installed. The faucet, drain fittings and trim are typically sold separately, so check the listing for what is bundled.
When is the best time to buy?
Walk-in tubs see deeper discounts during bathroom remodel sales and holiday promotions. Compare prices across stores and check the price history before buying.
