Our take on the Endurance Peregrine 36-in x 72-in White Acrylic Rectangle Drop-in Soaking Bathtub

The Endurance Peregrine is a 72-inch rectangular acrylic soaking tub that drops into a deck or surround. It holds 60 gallons with a 16-inch soaking depth, so it covers the shoulders of most adults, and the reversible drain lets you plumb it on either end. The 36-inch width and 143-pound weight suit a large master bath with a framed opening. Its best new price is $749.25 at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026, and no other store currently lists it new.

Pros
  • 16-inch soaking depth is deep enough to cover the shoulders
  • Reversible drain fits either end of the deck
  • Acrylic keeps the tub light at 143 pounds
  • 72-inch length gives tall bathers room to stretch out
  • 10-year limited warranty
Cons
  • Drop-in only: needs a built-in deck or surround, not a freestanding install
  • 60-gallon capacity needs a large water heater and a floor that can take the load
  • Acrylic scratches and can flex without a mortar or foam bed under it
  • Only one store lists it new, so price comparison is thin

Questions and answers

Is $749.25 a good price for this tub?
It is the only new price listed, $749.25 at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026. With one seller there is no recent range to compare against, so check it against other 72-inch acrylic soaking tubs before you commit.
What size opening does it need?
The tub measures 72 inches long, 36 inches wide and 23 inches high. Plan a framed drop-in opening slightly smaller than the rim so the deck supports the tub's edge.
How deep is the water?
Soaking depth is 16 inches, and the tub holds 60 gallons to the overflow. That is deep enough for most adults to soak up to the shoulders.
Can the drain go on either side?
Yes. The drain position is reversible, so you can set the rough-in on the left or right end to match your plumbing.
Does it come with a drain or faucet?
No. It is a bare tub, so you supply the drain assembly (2-inch diameter) and the deck-mounted or wall-mounted faucet separately.
How much floor support does it need?
A filled tub weighs roughly 640 pounds with water and a bather, plus the 143-pound tub. Check that the floor joists under the deck can carry that load.
Where is the Endurance Peregrine 36-in x 72-in White Acrylic Rectangle Drop-in Soaking Bathtub cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $749.25, as of our latest check.
