Our take on the ErGear 48 X 24 Inch Height Adjustable Electric Standing Desk, Black

The ErGear EGESD7 is a 48 x 24 inch electric standing desk with a steel T-leg frame and a black top. It adjusts from 28.3 to 46.5 inches, saves four height presets, and is rated for about 176 lb. The 48-inch top fits a monitor, laptop and keyboard but leaves little room for a second display. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Pros
  • Electric lift with four memory presets

Cons

Questions and answers

Is the ErGear EGESD7 worth it?
It is a reasonable budget pick if you need one monitor and a compact footprint. If you want dual displays or heavy gear, spend more on a wider dual-motor desk.
How high does it go?
It rises from 28.3 to 46.5 inches. That covers standing height for most people around 5'4" to 6'0", but taller users will want a desk that reaches 48 inches or more.
Can it hold two monitors?
The 48 x 24 inch top can fit two 24-inch monitors on arms, but space gets tight. The 176 lb weight rating is not the limit; desk width is.
How long does assembly take?
ErGear claims about 30 minutes. Owners report roughly that with two people, mostly spent attaching the legs and frame to the top.
Does it have memory presets?
Yes, four heights can be saved. Press and hold a preset button to store the current height, then tap it to return.
When is it cheapest?
Standing desks from ErGear tend to dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history chart before buying.
