Will it fit my trash can?

It is built for round cans with a rim close to 8.8 inches across. Measure your can's opening before buying, since the ring does not adjust.

Does it keep the bag from slipping?

The ring presses the bag edge against the rim, which holds a standard liner in place. Thin liners can still pull loose if you overfill the bag.

It is a small, single-purpose accessory. If bag slippage bothers you, it is a cheap fix; if your can already has a liner lock, it adds little.

Steel with a silver finish. Wipe it with a damp cloth; it is not described as rust-proof, so dry it after cleaning.

What comes in the box?

The listing describes a single metal ring. No can, bags or mounting hardware are included.

Our take on the Etereauty Metal Trash Can Ring

The Etereauty Metal Trash Can Ring is a silver steel ring that holds a trash bag in place on a round can. It measures about 8.8 inches across and 0.83 inches tall, so it fits cans with a rim near that diameter. It is a simple accessory rather than a can itself. The best new price is $11.74 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.
