Is the eufy S4 worth it over regular holiday lights?

If you want lights up year-round and controlled by app or motion, the S4 saves the annual hang-and-remove routine. If you only decorate for a few weeks, cheaper seasonal strings do the job.

How does the S4 differ from earlier eufy permanent lights?

The S4 adds 3D radar motion sensing, AI light themes, Matter support and camera linking, and runs 200 ft with 144 LEDs. Earlier versions lacked radar and Matter.

Does it need a hub or subscription?

No hub is required for core control; it connects over Wi-Fi and works with Matter, Alexa and Google Assistant. There is no known subscription for basic scenes.

Can I cut or extend the 200 ft run?

The set is sold as a fixed 200 ft run with 144 bulbs. Plan your roofline layout before mounting, since extending beyond the included length is not supported.

How weatherproof is it?

It carries an IP67 rating, so it is sealed against dust and survives rain and snow. The power supply and connections still need sensible placement.

When is the price lowest?

Permanent light sets usually dip around Black Friday and pre-holiday sales. At $349.99 across six stores as of November 7, 2026, watch for seasonal cuts rather than expecting everyday discounts.
