Is the Fenix PD36R worth $99.95?

At $99.95 at B&H Photo-Video-Audio as of November 5, 2026, you pay for a regulated 396 m throw light with USB-C charging and a 5000 mAh battery. If you need long reach and a tough body, it is a fair price; if you only need a close-range light, cheaper options exist.

The Pro version adds a higher top output and a dual tail switch. This model keeps the simpler single tail switch plus side switch and the same USB-C charging.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 20 days in Eco mode at 5 lumens. On high output, runtime is measured in hours, and the battery indicator shows charge level.

The light, a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery and a USB-C charging cable. A holster and spare O-rings are commonly included; check the listing for the exact contents.

Can I use standard 21700 batteries?

It uses a 5000 mAh rechargeable cell charged through the light's USB-C port. A standard 21700 of the same size generally works, but the built-in charging is designed around the included battery.
